About

My art is a journey of positive disintegration, an exploration of change, evolution, and adaptation, a process that began during the unprecedented times of COVID-19. As a first-generation Taiwanese American, I bring a unique cultural lens to my abstract art, informed by my background in architecture (M.Arch, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University) and further studies in investment management and gifted education.

Inspired by my teacher, Nami Yang, through online art classes held for the North American Taiwanese Woman during the COVID-19 pandemic, my work seeks to express and inspire transformation. I believe that reinvention is a constant possibility. Through varied techniques and mediums, including oil, acrylics, collage, and monoprinting, I translate this belief into visual form.

My style is characterized by a vibrant use of color, geometric forms, and layered meanings. I aim to create pieces that are simultaneously whimsical and thought-provoking. From the playful energy of “Walking 7 Puppies” to the deeply symbolic narratives of the “Impressions of Taiwan” and “Inveniam Viam” series, each painting invites viewers to question perception, embrace change, and find beauty in the unexpected.

“Leap: Homage to Matisse,” for example, is a direct conversation with a master, using his iconic goldfish as a springboard for exploring themes of family dynamics, limitations, and the courage to defy expectations. Similarly, “I am Here You are There”, invites viewers to reflect on the unseen hard work behind seemingly perfect situations. The “Aut Inveniam Viam Aut Faciam” series embodies the spirit of resilience, while the “HOPE” and “Prayers” series offer reflections on gratitude and freedom.

My work has been recognized internationally, including participation in prestigious exhibitions such as Salon Dessin Peinture a L’eau and Salon D’Automne in Paris, France, and the receipt of a Certificate of Artistic Merit from the Luxembourg Art Prize. As a member of The International Association of Art (IAA), an UNESCO NGO, I am committed to contributing to the global dialogue through my art. My goal is to create art that not only visually stimulates but also encourages introspection, growth, and a celebration of the human spirit’s capacity for reinvention. Through my work, I hope to convey that life is always in the process of reinvention and growth.
