Summer Sea Breeze

Summer Sea Breeze 《

Functioning as a temporal bridge, art retains the power to transport us instantly across past, present, and future.  Serving as a companion piece to The Place I Want To Be 港都夜雨, this work acts as a repository of memory, anchoring a specific moment, location, and familial connection to the enduring presence of the ocean.

Inspired by an excursion to the Long Island Sound, the painting moves beyond architectural narrative- such as the nearby Vanderbilt estate- to center on the overwhelming presence of the coastal landscape.  Through atmosphere and light, the composition captures the warmth, stillness, and nostalgia of a serene day spent with loved ones, transforming a personal recollection of the shoreline into a universal longing for cherished time.
